Store Locator Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how we, "Lifter Apps", collect, use and share your personal information for use of the "Store Locator" application. Throughout this Privacy Policy we’ll refer to the "Store Locator" application as "Store Locator", "Store Locator Application", "Services" or "Lifter Apps Application".

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you install "Store Locator" we automatically obtain and store your Shopify store name, email address, website domain and an OAuth access token that is provided to us by Shopify. We obtain your Shopify store name and OAuth access token for the following purposes:
  • So that you can access your Store Locator account.
  • So that the Store Locator Application can connect to Shopify's system to perform various functions that are necessary in order to make the Store Locator Application features work properly. For instance automatically installing the app on your website.
We obtain your email address and website domain for the following purposes:
  • In case we need to contact you about important information related to our Services.
  • Find and access your account in the event that you contact us requesting assistance.

Other Accessible Information

During the time that you have the Store Locator Application installed, Shopify permits us to access to data about your Shopify store through their API. While this information is accessible to us, we don't store any personal information beyond your Shopify store name, email and website domain in order to use our Services. In the event that you uninstall the Store Locator Application this access is immediately revoked.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

Log Information

Like most online service providers, we collect information that web browsers, mobile devices, and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, IP address, unique device identifiers, referring site, the date and time of access and operating system.

Usage Information

We collect information about your usage of our Services. For example when you use Lifter Apps on your website we track the number of times the Service is loading on your website. We collect this to better monitor account usage so that we can make adequate adjustments to our servers and infrastructure so that the Store Locator Application loads as quickly as possible for our customers. We use Google Analytics to assist with this data collection and analysis.

Location Information

We may determine the approximate location of your device from your IP address. We collect and use this information to, for example, calculate how many people visit our Services from certain geographic regions.

Cookies

Lifter Apps uses cookies help us identify and track visitors, usage, and access preferences for our Services. The Store Locator Application also uses cookies on your website to track which of your visitors have already subscribed through the Service.

3. Sharing Information

We do not sell our users’ private personal information. We share information about you in the limited circumstances spelled out below and with appropriate safeguards on your privacy

Subsidiaries, Outsourced Contractors and Related Third Parties

Lifter Apps, like many businesses, sometimes hires other companies or individuals to perform certain business-related functions. For instance if you contact us for support it may be necessary to share information about your account to an outsourced customer support company in order to adequately resolve your issue. When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function. We require our subsidiaries, outsourced contractors and related third parties to follow this Privacy Policy for personal information that we share with them.

As Required by Law

We may disclose information about you in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request.

Business Transfers

In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company, or in the unlikely event that Lifter Apps goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would likely be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. If any of these events were to happen, this Privacy Policy would continue to apply to your information and the party receiving your information may continue to use your information, but only consistent with this Privacy Policy.

With Your Consent

We may share and disclose information with your consent or at your direction. For example, we may share your information with third parties with which you authorize us to do so.

4. Data retention

We retain your account data for a period up to 12 months, after which time we employ measures to delete it. We do this in cases where a customer has accidentally uninstalled the Store Locator Application and requests that their account information be recovered. However, you can request that your account data be removed immediately at anytime. To make a request please see the Contact section.

5. Security

While no online service can be 100% secure, we work very hard to protect information about you against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction, and take reasonable measures to do so.

6. Data Breach Notification

In the event that we become aware of a data breach we will contact, to the best of our ability, all affected customers and parties within 72 hours.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have a right to request that your personal data we’ve collected be corrected, updated or removed at anytime. We will respond to all requests in a timely manner. Please be aware that some of your personal information is used for account purposes so deleting your personal information will result in the termination of your Services.

You have a right to request that we not share your information with Subsidiaries, Employees, or Independent Outsourced Contractors. Please be aware that this may result in loss of customer support since we’ll be unable to share your information with third parties that may be employed to assist with support request.

Lifter Apps and our business and services may change in the future.  As a result, it may be necessary for Lifter Apps to make changes to this Privacy Policy.  We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of our Services after any changes or revisions shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy.
